| Customer Reviews: Decent battery August 29, 2010 DuckBoyd Battery seems to have very good run time. Fits okay in my 1st gen Nano. I did have to adjust (trim and tighten) the plastic wrap around the battery to get the cover back on properly. Plastic tools for opening the iPod were useless. I used a razor blade and a jeweler's screwdriver to open the case.
iPod Nano 1st Gen Battery June 27, 2010 Allen C. (Seattle, WA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If your iPod Nano 1st Gen's battery just won't last long, get this. My iPod's settings are: 2 second backlight, brightness about halfway, volume halfway, treble booster, and shuffle. With these settings, I get about 12 hours of listening time. Recommended.
But to install, you will need a soldering gun. It's not too hard to do and I have only used a solder maybe 10 times.
