This is not an apple product, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. In fact, Like many of the reviewers before me, after I got used to the fact that I'm plugging my iphone 3GS to a non-apple cable, I grew to like this cable, even more than the original. The cable is slightly longer than the original, has a release button on each side of the iPhone connector, and is slightly softer than the original. The less rigid design actually makes it a bit better to pack and to handle during daily use. Like one of the pictures pointed out, the cable to connector boundary is more flexible, so theoretically less prone to breaking, which is where my original cable broke. Overall, it is an inexpensive alternative to the overpriced apple product, and in some ways it fares better. And just think, even if it breaks, you have money left over to buy another without breaking a sweat.

It's worth what you pay but buy a few because I ran one over with my deskchair and that was it for that one, it hasn't worked since but the other one I bought still works fine and I got that one way before the one I broke. Il probably buy another one

I was hoping to buy some additional cables for my iPhone3GS and ended up buying 4 of them. Not one of them worked properly!!! After plugging it into my iphone, I received the error message that stated that charging and synching was not supported with this cable! Do not waste your money or time, do not buy this product!
